Pienza, the ideal Renaissance town designed by Pius II and listed by UNESCO, is inseparable from its pecorino — one of the most renowned in all of Tuscany, offered in about ten different aging styles in the cheese shops and restaurants of the historic center. Although geographically on the border of the Val d'Orcia rather than in the heart of the Maremma, the town remains within the scope of our selection for its exceptional gastronomy.
