Comment on noteThe wine
Let me guide you toward a discovery that has the taste of history and the depth of the Tuscan land. This Chianti Rufina Riserva, born from the expert hands of Frescobaldi, is much more than a wine: it is an invitation to explore the very essence of its region.
This wine is a pure Sangiovese, 2023 vintage, which takes root in the Chianti Rufina appellation, a particularly esteemed area of Tuscany. The Frescobaldi family, with more than seven centuries of viticulture, perpetuates an ancestral know-how here. The "Montesodi" is produced only in the best years, from grapes carefully selected in the highest vineyards of the estate, located at about 400 meters above sea level. This privileged position provides an ideal microclimate, with significant temperature variations between day and night, which promotes the development of rich aromas and a surprising freshness.
To the eye, you will be charmed by its intense ruby red color, adorned with garnet reflections over time. On the nose, it unfolds a complex and enveloping bouquet: notes of ripe red fruits mingle with spices, vanilla, and a light touch of tobacco, a legacy of its time in barrels. On the palate, its structure is robust yet harmonious, with well-integrated tannins and a long finish, concluding with elegant mineral and spicy notes. Its fermentation is traditional, with extended maceration, and it ages for a minimum of 24 months, including 18 months in barrels and at least 6 months in the bottle before being marketed.
This wine is the ideal partner for flavorful dishes. Imagine it alongside grilled red meats, a simmered game dish, or a platter of aged cheeses. It is the kind of bottle you open to mark a special occasion, or simply to treat yourself to a moment of pure pleasure, alone or in good company. It will charm even the most demanding palates, guaranteeing you a rich and memorable sensory experience.
