Our tip
High-end gastronomy in Maremma (€70+ per person) remains more low-key than in Chianti or Florence — the region does not yet have the same density of starred tables — but a few exceptional addresses offer creative cuisine rooted in the local terroir, often attached to wine estates or high-end agriturismo properties. Tasting menus, food and wine pairings crafted with the best local cuvées, rare products (white truffle in season, game meat).
These tables generally need to be booked several days in advance, especially during the high tourist season (July-August) or during truffle season (October-December).
