Comment on noteThe wine
I invite you to discover a Chianti that embodies conviviality and lightness, a red wine that dances on the palate with unexpected freshness. It is an authentic expression of Tuscany, a bottle that promises moments of sharing and simple pleasure.
This wine comes to us from the Colli Senesi, a DOCG appellation within the greater Chianti region, in Tuscany. The Fattoria del Cerro estate, with its history and expertise, crafts wines there that reflect the richness of this terroir. The dominant grape variety is Sangiovese at 90%, complemented by 10% Merlot, a blend that brings both structure and suppleness.
The vinification of this Chianti is designed to preserve its liveliness. After fermentation in steel tanks, a maceration on the skins is carried out, allowing color and delicate aromas to be extracted. The wine is then aged for a minimum of 12 months, giving it time to refine and develop its complexity. Its color is a light, brilliant red. On the nose, you will be charmed by its intensely fruity scents, with notes of amarena and cherry, enhanced by delicately balsamic and herbaceous hints on the finish. On the palate, it reveals itself fragrant, with a beautiful freshness that makes it easy to drink and particularly eclectic.
This Chianti Colli Senesi is an ideal companion for many dishes. I recommend it with red meats, aged cheeses or, of course, typical dishes of Tuscan cuisine. Imagine it with pasta with meat and mushroom sauces, a veal stew or a roast chicken. Serve it between 16° and 18° C in medium-sized glasses to fully appreciate its finesse. It is the perfect Chianti for every convivial moment, an invitation to the dolce vita that I am delighted to share with you.
