Comment on noteThe wine
Imagine yourself in the heart of Tuscany, where time seems suspended. This Brunello di Montalcino from Castelgiocondo is an invitation to a sensory journey, a promise of prestige and authenticity that I am delighted to share with you.
We are here in the cradle of Brunello, in Montalcino, a DOCG appellation that needs no introduction. The Castelgiocondo estate, rooted in this land for centuries, perpetuates a tradition of winemaking excellence. This is pure Sangiovese, the king grape variety of Tuscany, which brings this wine to life, raised with particular attention at every stage of its creation.
In your glass, you will discover a deep, intense red color. On the nose, this Brunello will offer you a complex and captivating bouquet: delicate notes of violet and wild rose mingle with aromas of woodland fruits. Then, spicier touches appear, evoking tobacco and licorice, a sign of beautiful maturity and careful aging. The fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, then the wine ages for at least two years in wood, followed by four months in the bottle, thus refining its structure and aromas.
This wine is a true ally for great occasions. It pairs wonderfully with the structured dishes of Italian cuisine. I particularly recommend it with grilled or sauced red meats, game, mushrooms, or truffle. It will also elevate aged cheeses, offering a memorable tasting experience. It is the perfect wine for those moments of sharing where you want to make an impression and celebrate the richness of Tuscan flavors.
