Comment on noteThe wine
Today I invite you to an intimate encounter with a wine that whispers the story of its land. This Toscana IGT Rosso from the Il Borro estate is not just a drink, it is a vibrant expression of Tuscan passion, an authentic gem that I had the chance to discover.
Nestled in the heart of the Valdarno, the Il Borro estate lies within a landscape where the microclimate and the richness of the terroir create ideal conditions for the vine. This wine, 2015 vintage, is the fruit of a harmonious blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, grape varieties carefully selected to express the unique character of this region. The meticulous vinification includes fermentation in steel tanks and 22 days of maceration, key steps to reveal the full complexity of the berries.
From the very first glance, its deep red color, dotted with highlights, announces a rich tasting. On the nose, you will be charmed by an intriguing bouquet: notes of ripe red fruits delicately mingle with spicy and balsamic nuances. On the palate, this wine reveals itself full and persistent. Its tannic structure is remarkably balanced, a promise of great aging potential. The flavors of black fruits blend with touches of vanilla and chocolate, creating an enveloping and generous taste experience, the result of 18 months of aging in French oak barriques.
This Toscana IGT Rosso is a true gastronomic chameleon. I warmly recommend it with red meats, such as a delicious grilled fiorentina, or richer dishes such as pappardelle al cinghiale. It will also elevate a platter of aged cheeses. Serve it at a temperature of 18°C to appreciate all its subtleties. It is a wine that invites sharing and discovery, perfect for a special occasion or simply to treat yourself and travel to the heart of Tuscany.
