Comment on noteThe wine
I invite you to discover a gem from the heart of Tuscany, a wine that embodies the perfect balance between power and finesse. This Toscana Rosso IGT from Agricola Ludus is a true expression of its terroir, a harmonious encounter between tradition and modernity.
Nestled between Gambassi Terme, Montaione and Certaldo, the Agricola Ludus estate cultivates its vines with passion, giving birth to this wine from the 2018 vintage. It is made from a blend of Bordeaux grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot. This combination, although not native, flourishes fully under the Tuscan sun, offering a unique interpretation of these varieties.
Its color is an intense ruby red, with hues tending toward garnet as it ages. On the nose, you will be enveloped by a complex and seductive bouquet: notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum mingle with touches of blueberry, spices and balsamic nuances. On the palate, this wine reveals itself to be rich and structured. The attack is robust yet harmonious, carried by well-polished tannins that lead to a long, persistent finish. The acidity is remarkably balanced, providing a surprising freshness that invites tasting.
This Toscana Rosso IGT is the ideal companion for your meals. I particularly recommend it with red meats, where its structure and aromas will pair wonderfully. It will also enhance aged cheeses, offering a complete and memorable tasting experience. It is a wine to be savored both in its youth, where it expresses all its fruity liveliness, and after a few years of aging, when it will develop a fascinating complexity. An invitation to discovery, for novice palates as well as the most experienced.
