Comment on noteThe wine
Imagine a wine born from the earth, raised in silence and darkness, a treasure that whispers the history of an authentic Tuscany. This Vinum 2014 is not just a drink, it is an experience, an encounter with the very essence of organic and ancestral viticulture.
It is in the heart of Arezzo, in the generous lands of Tuscany, that the Bio Tarazona Miriam estate brings this singular wine to life. From rigorous organic farming, this cuvée is a harmonious blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Ciliegiolo (85%), complemented by Trebbiano and Malvasia (15%). A composition that honors Tuscan tradition while revealing a unique personality.
What makes this Vinum so particular is its winemaking method: after fermentation in steel, it is aged for two years in terracotta jars insulated with natural resin and beeswax from the estate, buried three meters deep. This almost meditative approach allows the wine to be enriched by the minerals of the soil, giving it a rare complexity. On the eye, it displays an intense ruby red with purplish tints. On the nose, it offers a unique and intense bouquet, where notes of honey and resin mingle. On the palate, after a first soft impression due to this explosion of flavors, it reveals a dry and tannic structure, with beautiful persistence.
This Vinum 2014 is an ideal companion for bold flavors. I particularly recommend it with grilled or stewed red meats, whose richness will pair wonderfully with its tannic structure. It will also elevate a platter of aged cheeses, where its complex notes will find a delicate echo.
It is a wine that invites contemplation, perfect for a quiet evening among friends, where conversations stretch on and flavors reveal themselves. But do not reserve it for grand occasions, it will also elevate the everyday, transforming a simple meal into a moment of pure pleasure. Let yourself be carried away by this gem of Tuscany, a wine that tells a story with every sip.
