Which buses go to Pitigliano?

Pour rejoindre Pitigliano by bus, pay particular attention to the lines 11P from Orbetello and Albinia, or 41P from Grosseto : all of them go through Manciano and serve Pitigliano's autostazione. Line 57P also connects Pitigliano to Siena, but departures may be infrequent.

Si tu viens de Rome, the simplest option is usually to take the train to Orbetello-Monte Argentario, then the 11P; from Florence, aim instead for Grosseto and the connection with the 41P. Allow some margin between the train and the bus: connections are not always frequent. Timetables vary depending on the day, school holidays and the time of year, and the service may be reduced on Sundays or public holidays. So check the departures for your specific date before booking your trip; without a car, visiting the surrounding villages is also less flexible.

Pitigliano is best savoured without rushing: its profile clinging to the tufa deserves a real break, not a quick stop squeezed in between two villages. Leave room to wander through the alleyways, rather than trying to tick everything off!
