What is the most beautiful dog-friendly beach in Tuscany?

If I had to recommend one, it would be the BauBeach of San Vincenzo, at the entrance to the Rimigliano coastal park: it's a good choice if you want your dog to really enjoy the sea, rather than simply being tolerated on a regular beach. A section of about 200 mètres is reserved for it; it can swim and run off-leash within the delimited area. You will also find services on site, including a shaded area and a bar.

The setting, between pine forest and sea, is pleasant, but the beach can be crowded in high summer, especially on weekends. For a quieter time, aim for the morning or the end of the day, and check availability if you want to rent an equipped spot. Outside the dedicated area, don't assume your dog can roam freely: in the Rimigliano park, it must stay on a leash. If you prefer a free and less developed beach, also look at the areas open to dogs around Castiglione della Pescaia, but the local rules and services are different there.

With a dog that dashes into the waves, the best plan is to choose a quiet time: the outing immediately takes on a different rhythm, for it as well as for you.
