Where to park your car in Porto Santo Stefano before the ferry?

If you leave your car on land during your stay on Giglio, aim for the private Fanciulli parking lot, on the Banchina Toscana : it is about 300 meters from the ferry terminal, so you can reach the boarding point on foot with your luggage. As a rough guide, expect 10 to 15 € per day depending on the season; call before leaving to confirm the rate, hours and availability, especially in summer. Other private parking lots are located via Via del Campone, but some are farther from the quay.

For a few hours, you can try the municipal blue-line spaces near the port. The advertised daily rate is zone 2 is 12 €, against 24 € in zone 1 ; rates may change, so check the parking meter on site. In the height of summer, don't necessarily expect to find a spot just before departure: arrive with some leeway. Also avoid the streets of the center in the evening, where some areas are subject to traffic restrictions.

If you take the car on the ferry, don't look for parking: follow the signs to the Porto del Valle terminal and get in the boarding line. For an absence of several days, I would choose long-term parking rather than a street spot, confirming the storage conditions directly with the parking lot.

In Porto Santo Stefano, the ferry already sets the adventure in motion: you might as well keep a bit of calm to enjoy the departure rather than turning the last minutes into a rally.
