Where do you board for Giglio Island?

On embarque à Porto Santo Stefano, on the Argentario coast, to reach Giglio Porto, the island's port. The crossings are operated by Toremar and Maregiglio and last about an hour. There is no regular connection from Porto Ercole or from any other port on the coast.

Departures take place all year round, but schedules and the number of crossings vary by season: in general, there is more choice in summer. Check the schedules for the exact day of your trip, especially off-season and if you plan a return in the evening. You can board on foot or with a car on the ferries that accept them; in summer, booking your vehicle's passage in advance is wise, as spaces are limited.
