What is the length of the scenic road of Monte Argentario?

Allow about 25 km for the Strada Panoramica, between Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole. Depending on the chosen starting and ending points, the routes that follow the outline of the promontory can come close to 30 km : the figure therefore varies a little depending on whether we are talking about the scenic road itself or a wider route.

Expect around 1 hour to 1 hour 30 of driving without long breaks, more if you stop at the viewpoints or to reach a cove. To note before setting off: the route is not uniformly paved. A stretch of about 3 to 4 km can be dirt and sometimes uneven; drive slowly, especially with a low or rental car. The bends and frequent stops make the average much slower than a simple kilometric estimate would suggest.
