How far is Castell'Azzara from the sea?

Castell'Azzara is located about 80 to 90 km from the sea, generally 1 h 30 to 1 h 45 by road, depending on the chosen beach and traffic. It is an inland village, in the hills of southern Tuscany: so you are not a stone's throw from the coast, and a beach day requires planning a real car trip.

For an outing, you can look at Marina di Grosseto, about 85 km, or the coast of theArgentario, around 85 to 90 km by road. The beach of the Feniglia, near Orbetello and Porto Ercole, is a popular option, but you then have to reach the beach from the parking area, on foot or by bike depending on the chosen access. The roads in this part of the Maremma are sometimes winding; it is better to allow some leeway rather than relying on the minimal time given by the GPS.
