Where are the bronze statues of San Casciano dei Bagni located?

The bronze statues were discovered in the thermal sanctuary of Bagno Grande, at San Casciano dei Bagni, in the province of Siena. They come from an ancient place of worship linked to the hot springs, a few kilometers from the village. The archaeological site is where they were discovered, but you cannot see the statues themselves there: the remains are being studied and developed.

To see some of them, the next announced opportunity is in Milan : eight bronzes will be presented at the Fondazione Luigi Rovati in the exhibition "Etruschi e Veneti. Acque, culti e santuari", from October 14, 2026 to January 10, 2027. The previous stage at Palazzo Ducale, in Venice, ended on September 29, 2026. In San Casciano itself, the Stanze Cassianensi, in the Palazzo Comunale, tell the story of the sanctuary and display other archaeological objects, but are not the room where you can admire the recently discovered group of bronzes.

The Bagno Grande is the scene of the mystery, not the showcase: to avoid a disappointing treasure hunt, combine your visit with the Stanze Cassianensi and keep Milan in the back of your notebook.
