Comment on noteThe wine
Imagine yourself in the heart of Tuscany, where time seems suspended. This Chianti Rufina Riserva from Nipozzano is not just a wine, it is an invitation to a sensory journey, a promise of authenticity that I am delighted to introduce to you.
We are here at Castello Nipozzano, an emblematic estate nestled in the heart of the Chianti Rufina appellation. This region, less well known than others, nevertheless offers wines of remarkable finesse, shaped by a unique terroir. Sangiovese, the king grape of Tuscany, finds a particularly elegant expression here, complemented by traditional varieties that bring complexity and balance.
This wine is the result of spontaneous fermentation, carried out in cement tanks, followed by careful maceration. Its aging extends for 24 months in oak barrels, an essential period that gives it its structure and its ability to age gracefully. To the eye, you will be charmed by its intense red color. On the nose, it reveals a complex and seductive bouquet: notes of red and black fruits, such as blackberry and currant, blend harmoniously with spicy touches of pepper and cinnamon. On the palate, it offers a harmonious texture, beautiful structure, and an aromatic persistence that invites contemplation.
This Chianti Rufina Riserva is an ideal companion for convivial meals. I particularly recommend it with grilled or sauced red meats, roast lamb, or pasta with earthy flavors. It also elevates aged cheeses, revealing all their complexity. Serve it at the right temperature, and let it express itself fully. This is the kind of wine that transforms a simple dinner into a memorable moment, an enchanted interlude where Tuscan tradition reveals itself with every sip.
