Comment on noteThe wine
Today I'm taking you to the heart of Tuscany, where the land tells stories through its vines. This Chianti Classico from the Dievole estate is not just a wine, it's an invitation to a sensory journey, an authentic expression of its terroir.
Nestled in the heart of Chianti Classico, the Dievole estate is a respected name, bearer of a deeply rooted winemaking tradition. This Chianti Classico DOCG, 2020 vintage, is made exclusively from the region's king grape variety, Sangiovese. The vinification follows a rigorous process: fermentation in steel tanks, followed by maceration on the skins which extracts color and structure. Then, the wine ages for at least twelve months, a crucial step for refining its aromas and texture.
At first glance, you will be charmed by its intense ruby red color, with hues tending toward garnet, a promise of fine evolution. On the nose, this wine reveals lively aromas of cherry and plum, enriched by delicate spicy accents and a subtle touch of vanilla, a legacy of its time in oak barrels. The aromatic complexity unfolds further with notes of tobacco and leather, which blossom elegantly in the glass. On the palate, it offers a balanced structure and a velvety texture. The tannins, well present but supple, lead to a long, persistent finish, where the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose resurface. Its well-integrated acidity ensures a pleasant freshness, making every sip invigorating.
This Chianti Classico is an ideal companion for your meals. I recommend it with red meats, whether grilled or in sauce, as well as with game dishes. It will also pair wonderfully with aged cheeses, where its structure and aromas can fully express themselves. Serve it at a temperature of 18-20°C to appreciate all its nuances. It is a wine you can enjoy right now, but it also has great aging potential, promising you wonderful discoveries in the years to come.
