Comment on noteOur opinion
Departing from Porto Ercole, the Sacs Dream 25 lets you take to the sea on your own and explore the Argentario coastline at your own pace. With eight seats on board, it is suitable for an outing with close ones, alternating cruising, swimming and breaks in coves accessible depending on the day's conditions.
This Sacs Dream 25, launched in 2020, is 8 meters long and can accommodate up to 8 passengers. Its engine is rated at 225 hp. The rental is without a skipper: you must therefore hold the required boating license and be comfortable with independent navigation. The recorded rate starts at €650 per day; the renters' rating is 4.67/5, based on three reviews.
To enjoy the deck between two anchorages, the equipment includes a sun awning, an outdoor shower, a ladder and a swim platform. The fore and aft sun pads offer spaces to settle down, while the cooler helps keep drinks and snacks within reach. On board there are also a USB port, outdoor speakers, an electric windlass, a GPS, a depth sounder and a VHF. I find the whole set suitable for a day when you want to alternate comfort at anchor with useful reference points for navigating.
From the port, you can follow the Argentario coast and spot coves for swimming, choosing your route according to the weather and sea conditions. The islands of Giglio and Giannutri lie offshore and can be among the navigation ideas to consider; their accessibility within the day depends notably on conditions, the route and the rules in force. Talamone and the Maremma coast offer other regional landmarks, but do not assume they are included in a given outing. The GPS, depth sounder and VHF are useful pieces of equipment, without replacing route planning or local instructions.
I recommend this rental to licensed boaters who want to organize their day themselves, with a group of up to eight people. Before booking, check the rate, availability, navigation conditions and the possible destination with the rental company. If the Argentario tempts you, take the time to prepare an itinerary suited to your crew: the sea is best savored without rushing.
