Our opinion
From Porto Ercole, the Ranieri Cayman 38 Executive opens up the Argentario coast to a day of sailing between swims, rocky landscapes and breaks in the sun. This 12-metre RIB can accommodate up to 12 passengers: an option to consider if you want to share the sea with family or friends, without giving up on-board comfort.
Launched in 2023, the Cayman 38 Executive develops 700 hp. The listing indicates a departure from Porto Ercole, with boarding at Cala Galera and a free shuttle aboard an eight-seater Caravelle. On board, four berths, toilets, hot water, air conditioning and heating complete the cruising equipment. Two refrigerators and a kitchen are also mentioned.
To enjoy anchoring, you'll find a large sunbathing area, a shaded aft dinette, an outdoor shower and a swim platform. The bimini provides protection from the sun, while the paddle board, towable buoy, masks and snorkels, diving equipment and Seabob offer several ways to enjoy the water. The outdoor table, speakers, towels and fishing gear are also on the list. The listed rate starts at €1,400 per day; renters give it 5/5 across seven reviews. A boating licence is required. A multilingual skipper, speaking French in particular, is announced on board in the description.
Setting off from Cala Galera, you can cruise along the coves and inlets of the Argentario, where the cliffs and clear waters invite you to drop anchor for a swim. Depending on the chosen itinerary and sea conditions, Giglio or Giannutri can also give the day a direction: these are islands of the Tuscan archipelago off this coast, but a visit to them is not presented as included. Talamone and the Maremma park coast lie further north; it's best to check the distance and the programme before planning such a trip.
I would recommend it to a group that wants space, equipment for alternating relaxation and water activities, and an outing organised around the Argentario. Before booking, confirm the boarding point, the skipper's role, the possible itinerary and the conditions related to the licence. In summer, plan your request ahead: days at sea are better prepared when availability and the route are clarified in advance.

Porto Santo Stefano
Tosco A former hunting lodge transformed into a haven of peace, admits that for a wild boar like me, the wink is perfect! It is above all the best spot in the area to explore the wild coves of the Argentario while sleeping in the absolute calm of the maquis.

Monte Argentario
Tosco Hop on a bike from the estate to reach the Feniglia beach through the pine forest: you'll avoid the hassle of the Argentario's car parks while enjoying a nice chilled glass of Ansonica on the way back!
Tosco The Argentario on the wild maquis side is perfect for escaping the crowds, but don't forget to do your grocery shopping in Porto Ercole before heading up: with no restaurant on site, your self-catering kitchen will be your best ally!
