Comment on noteThe wine
Imagine yourself for a moment in the heart of Tuscany, where the sun caresses the vines and every sip tells a story. Today, I'm taking you to discover the Rosso di Toscana IGT from Conti Serristori, a wine that embodies the authentic soul of this land. Far from clichés, it's a gem I'm delighted to share with you.
This wine is the very expression of Tuscan winemaking tradition, carried by the Conti Serristori estate, a winery whose centuries-old history is deeply rooted in the Poggibonsi territory. Here, the meticulous selection of grapes, mainly Sangiovese complemented by other typical regional varieties, makes it possible to create a blend that reflects the richness and diversity of the Tuscan wine landscape. The vinification, carried out in temperature-controlled steel tanks, preserves the freshness and intensity of the aromas, followed by aging also in steel.
From the very first glance, this Rosso di Toscana IGT reveals itself in a brilliant ruby red robe, dotted with purplish highlights that underscore its youth. On the nose, you will be charmed by a rich and inviting bouquet, dominated by notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherry and blackberry, enriched by nuances of violet and spices. On the palate, it reveals a medium structure with soft, well-integrated tannins, offering a sensation of roundness and suppleness. The acidity is nicely balanced, supporting the fruity notes and giving the wine a freshness that irresistibly invites another glass. The finish is pleasantly persistent, with aromatic echoes that recall the sensations perceived on the nose.
This "Rosso" is a highly versatile wine, perfect for accompanying a wide range of dishes. I particularly recommend it with pasta with meat-based sauces, red meats, or medium-aged cheeses. Its easy-drinking nature also makes it ideal for informal occasions, where conviviality and the pleasure of sharing take center stage. Let yourself be tempted by this invitation to discovery, and savor a wine that is a successful synthesis of tradition and modernity, a true piece of Tuscany in your glass.
