Where is Collelungo beach in Tuscany?

Collelungo beach is located in the Maremma Regional Park, on the coast of the province of Grosseto, in the southwest of Tuscany. It is situated south of Marina di Alberese, at the foot of the Torre di Collelungo, in the Uccellina mountains area. It is not a beach directly accessible by car: from Marina di Alberese, you have to continue south on foot for several kilometers.

You can also reach the area by bike via the park's trails; from Alberese, the Pinastrellaia cycle route is about 19 km. Access and traffic rules in the park may vary depending on the season, so check the conditions before setting off, especially in summer. Bring water and something to eat: on this stretch of coast, services are limited, and the walk back also counts as part of the outing.

If you are planning a stay further south, near Capalbio, you can also check out my article on Lake Burano and the beaches of Capalbio : it is another part of the Maremma coastline, distinct from Collelungo.

Collelungo is more of a small expedition than an improvised detour: save some leg strength for the way back, your legs will thank you!
