Where is Seggiano located in Tuscany?

Seggiano is located in southern Tuscany, in the province of Grosseto, on the slopes of Monte Amiata, near the border with the province of Siena. The village lies in the hinterland, between the landscapes of the Val d'Orcia and those of the Amiata: so it is not a seaside stop. The neighboring village of Castel del Piano helps locate it on a map.

From Grosseto, allow about 60 to 65 km by road, generally around’1 h 15 by car, depending on the route and conditions. Seggiano is better suited to a car stop in this rural area than to an improvised visit from the coast: the local roads are winding and distances take time. If you are planning an itinerary, place it on the side of the Monte Amiata, east of Grosseto and southwest of the Val d'Orcia.

A little word of advice: don't turn Seggiano into a simple checkbox, keep some leeway to let the journey be part of the stop.
