Where is the entrance to the Lake Burano nature reserve?

Access to the nature reserve of Lake Burano is from the visitor center, at 35, Strada Provinciale Litoranea del Chiarone, in Capalbio Scalo, in the province of Grosseto. Please note: this is not yet the entrance to the reserve. The gate is located about 2 km from the center; to reach it, visitors follow the guide in their own car, motorbike or bicycle.

You can reach the visitor center on foot from the Capalbio Scalo train station : go through the station underpass, then turn left; it only takes a few minutes. However, the station is not next to the reserve gate. For individual visitors, access to the oasis is only possible during a guided tour by reservation, so you cannot simply enter the trails freely. Book no later than the day before by 1 p.m. and check the times before setting off, as they vary by season. The meeting point remains at the visitor center, even if you come by car.

In Burano, it's better to leave improvisation aside: the detour is part of the discovery, and the curious snout doesn't always have the best sense of direction!
