Since the convent of the Passionists, you can reach the ridge via the paved road that continues uphill towards Punta Telegrafo. By car, you cannot go all the way to the base: the road is closed to civilian vehicles on the last 1.2 kilometres. Stay close to the barrier without blocking the way, then continue on foot; allow about 20 to 25 minutes to reach the military base gate.
The summit itself is occupied by this base and is therefore not accessible to the public. However, you can enjoy the views from the gate and from a small rocky outcrop near the last bend before the final climb. For a hike rather than direct access, from the convent, continue on the asphalt until the first white dirt track on the right, identifiable by a small Madonna statue: the ridge loop route is about 11.2 km. It follows dirt tracks and trails, with steep climbs; wear suitable shoes and check signage on site, as access restrictions may change.
