How do you get to the Ildebranda Tomb in Sovana?

The simplest way is to go by car: from Sovana, , take the SP22 towards San Martino sul Fiora ; the necropolis car park is located about 1 km after the village. Once parked, head to the reception and ticket office, then follow the uphill path to the Ildebranda Tomb.

On foot from the centre of Sovana, allow about 2 km by road : the tomb looks close on the map, but there is no direct pedestrian access laid out, and the route uses the provincial road. I would not recommend it, especially with children. Without a car, check the bus timetable before setting off: the runs are limited and do not necessarily match your visiting time. In the necropolis, the path climbs over natural ground; bring suitable shoes. Opening hours and prices may change depending on the period, so check with the park before your trip.
