How much does the glass cost for tastings in Scansano?

À Scansano, , count on €5 for a glass of Morellino di Scansano DOCG and €6 for a Riserva at the Enoteca Rosso Morellino. However, there is no fixed price in the village: each enoteca or estate sets its own prices, and an organized tasting is usually charged as a package rather than by the glass.

At that same enoteca, the listed packages range from €10 for three Morellinos à €25 for six wines with cheese and charcuterie pairings. Some tastings at the producers are also offered around 15 €, depending on the wines and what is included. Check the price before you sit down: prices can change, and a glass served on its own does not necessarily include a tour or explanations. If you want to taste several cuvées without committing to a cellar tour, simply ask for the price of a flight at the counter.

The most interesting thing is comparing cuvées from different estates: Morellino can change character from one glass to another. With a piece of pecorino, the tasting takes on yet another dimension!
