How much does parking cost in Pitigliano?

À Pitigliano, there is no single rate: for a car, you can find free spots, while paid spaces are charged by zone. I can't confirm a reliable and up-to-date hourly rate for visitors; the €0.80/h sometimes indicated correspond to a reduced rate for authorized vehicles, not the general rate. So check the price displayed on the parking meter before paying.

To avoid circling near the old town, look at Piazza Dante Alighieri, where free spots are signposted, but they may be scarce on busy days. Piazza Nenni is another option, about 10 to 15 minutes on foot from the center; recent reports indicate around €12 per day for the parking area, mainly used by campervans. Rules and prices may differ for a car: trust the sign or the parking meter on site. Spots in the historic center are limited and some streets are ZTL, so don't follow the GPS into the narrow lanes without checking the signs.

In Pitigliano, it's better to keep some leeway rather than turning the narrow lanes into a treasure hunt: the first view of the old town from outside is already worth the trip.
