Comment on noteOur opinion
Departing from Punta Ala, this sailboat opens up the Maremma coast from offshore, with enough space to share a day at sea or consider an overnight getaway on board. I recommend it if you want to sail and keep coves, swims and the horizons of the Tuscan archipelago within easy reach.
This Salona 45 from AD Boats, built in 2006, measures 13.55 meters and accommodates up to six passengers. It has three cabins and six berths: a format suited to a small group that wants to enjoy sailing without getting in each other's way. Its engine power is 55 hp. The listing shows a rate starting at €286 per day and a rating of 4.93/5, given by seven renters.
On board, the listed equipment combines navigation and comfort: GPS, depth sounder and autopilot, but also gennaker, sun awning and spray hood. For breaks, you will find an outdoor table, cushions, a sunbathing area at the bow, an outdoor shower and a boarding ladder. A dinghy with outboard motor, canoe-kayak, masks and snorkels as well as fishing gear complete the list. Hot water, a USB port and outdoor speakers are also mentioned. The owner has been sailing since 2006 and teaching sailing since 2015; this gives an idea of his experience, without meaning that the rental includes a skipper.
From the harbor, you can follow the coast toward Cala Violina or Talamone, depending on the length of the trip and the conditions of the day. For more ambitious sailing, Argentario and the islands of Giglio or Giannutri offer attractive landmarks in the Tuscan archipelago; access to them, however, depends on the itinerary, the weather and the time available. The Maremma park also provides a lovely coastal backdrop. The listing does not specify either the presence of a skipper for hire or the license requirements: check these points before booking, especially if you plan to take the helm.
With its six berths and its swimming equipment, this sailboat suits a group of friends or a family that wants to combine sailing and stops at anchor. In summer, I advise you to book early and confirm your planned itinerary, as well as the departure arrangements. A lovely way to discover the Maremma from the sea, at your own pace.
