Comment on noteOur opinion
Departing from Punta Ala, this 10-metre sailboat gives you the freedom to cruise along the Maremma coast and choose your stops as the day goes by. It can be rented without a skipper: you must therefore hold a boating licence and be comfortable sailing on your own.
Launched in 2013, the Hanse 345 accommodates up to six passengers and offers six berths spread across three cabins. Its engine is 27 hp. On board, the equipment includes everything you need to sail, have lunch and enjoy swimming breaks: GPS, depth sounder, autopilot, dinghy with outboard motor, paddleboard and Seabob. The sun awning and spray hood provide sheltered spaces, while the outdoor table invites you to extend your meal at anchor. Teak deck, swim platform and boarding ladder make time on the water easier. For comfort, you will also find hot water, an outdoor shower, a refrigerator, an oven with stove and electric toilets. Renters have given it a rating of 4/5, based on four reviews.
From the harbour, you can set course for the nearby stretches of coast and consider a stop at Cala Violina, depending on conditions and navigation rules. Further south, the Argentario, Talamone or the islands of Giglio and Giannutri make you want to extend the route, but do not consider them as guaranteed stops: distance, weather and the boat's limits matter. The listing mentions navigation within 12 miles; check with the renter which areas are accessible before building your itinerary. As the boat is offered without a skipper, you remain responsible for handling and preparing the trip. A boating licence is required.
I would recommend it to a crew of six who want to share the manoeuvres and enjoy real living space on board, rather than to novices looking for a supervised outing. For a summer day, choose your route according to the wind and keep some margin for returning to port. If you are aiming for the most in-demand periods, it is better to enquire and book in advance.
