Comment on noteOur opinion
From Punta Ala, this catamaran gives you the time and space to explore the Tuscan coast at your own pace, between days at anchor and nights on board. I recommend it to crews who want to set out independently and share the sea without giving up the comfort of a real living space.
Launched in 2017, the Lagoon 400 S2 measures 11.97 meters and accommodates up to 12 passengers. It offers six cabins and twelve berths, with a 90 hp engine. The sunbathing areas at the bow and the generous cockpit invite you to enjoy hours outdoors, while the outdoor table, the sun awning, the cushions and the speakers make stopovers pleasant. On board, you will also find an autopilot and electric winches, as well as hot water, an outdoor shower and electric toilets.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, a dishwasher, a cooktop, an oven and a microwave. The watermaker, announced at 200 liters per hour, provides a welcome supply of fresh water during your stay. The dinghy and its outboard allow you to reach land or a cove at anchor. Paddleboard and kayak are available on request; masks and snorkels, bedding and towels are also listed among the equipment. The rental is without skipper: a boating license is required. The recorded rate starts at €843 per day, and the tenants' rating reaches 4.74/5 over 24 reviews.
From this port on the Maremma coast, you can consider sailing to Cala Violina, Talamone or the shoreline of the Maremma park, depending on the weather and your itinerary. For a getaway to the south, the Argentario and the islands of Giglio or Giannutri are also landmarks to consider. These are route ideas, to be prepared according to sea conditions and the duration of your rental, and not included stopovers. Without a skipper, you must be able to handle the navigation and check that the required license matches your situation.
With its six cabins, the Lagoon suits families or groups who want to live on board without being squeezed together. In summer, I advise you to book early and prepare your route before departure; you will enjoy the anchorages better once at sea.
