Breakfast included in a Tuscan agriturismo is often one of the most memorable moments of the stay: a long table with homemade products — fig and apricot jams from the garden, honey from the property's beehives, extra-virgin olive oil on the bruschetta, fresh eggs from the henhouse, local cheeses. Far from the industrial buffet of chain hotels, breakfast at an agriturismo is a full-fledged gastronomic experience.
The agriturismos that include breakfast in our selection generally offer a table-served meal, in the common room or on the terrace, between 8am and 10am. Some offer half board as an option (including dinner at the host's table). Check the times in advance if you plan to leave early for morning hikes — some agriturismos offer a packed lunch on request.
