Comment on noteThe wine
Imagine a light breeze caressing the hills of Tuscany, carrying with it the scents of red fruits and flowers. This Sassorosa Rosato from Tenuta L'Impostino is exactly that: an invitation to the sweet life, a well-kept secret I am delighted to share with you.
Nestled in the heart of Maremma, in Civitella Paganico, the Tenuta L'Impostino estate cultivates its vines with passion, giving birth to wines that tell the story of this corner of Tuscany. This rosato, Toscana IGP, is the fruit of a harmonious blend of 60% Sangiovese and 40% Syrah, two grape varieties that flourish fully under the Tuscan sun, each bringing their unique character to this cuvée.
From the very first glance, its clear, light salmon-pink color seduces you. On the nose, you will discover a delicate bouquet of ripe small red fruits, such as gooseberry and raspberry, lifted by a touch of citrus and a subtle floral note. On the palate, this wine reveals itself fresh, light and beautifully lively, with a balanced acidity that invites the next sip. Its vinification, with a soft pressing and low-temperature fermentation (14-16°C for 15-18 days), followed by a partial malolactic fermentation and six months of aging on fine lees in stainless steel tanks, then two months in bottle, gives it this elegance and aromatic purity.
This Sassorosa is the ideal companion for your moments of conviviality. Serve it well chilled, between 8 and 10°C, to fully appreciate its freshness. It is perfect for aperitivo, pairing wonderfully with antipasti, light soups, fish, smoked salmon or a fish tartare. Its restrained structure and aromatic profile also make it an excellent partner for summer salads, light pasta, Mediterranean vegetable-based dishes or fresh cheeses. It is a wine to be enjoyed in its youth to take full advantage of its aromatic liveliness.
