Comment on noteThe wine
Imagine yourself in the heart of the Maremma, where wild nature meets the art of the vine. This wine from Frescobaldi is an invitation to explore this generous land, a promise of deep flavors and authentic emotions.
Maremma, this coastal region of Tuscany, is a haven of biodiversity where the sun and the sea breeze sculpt unique landscapes. It is here that the Frescobaldi estate, with its centuries-old history, has been able to uncover the exceptional potential of Cabernet Sauvignon. This grape variety, perfectly suited to the Maremma terroir, draws a singular expression from it, far from clichés.
From the very first glance, its intense ruby red color captivates you. On the nose, I am immediately seduced by its ample and complex bouquet. Aromas of red fruits, such as blackberry, plum and blackcurrant, blend delicately with warmer, more enveloping notes of vanilla and licorice. On the palate, this 2024 vintage reveals itself pleasantly enveloping. Its distinctive softness and elegant tannins give it a silky texture, culminating in a persistent finish that testifies to its quality and its deep connection with this Tuscan land. Fermentation in steel tanks, followed by a long maceration, then 12 months of aging, contributes to this complexity and finesse.
For me, this Maremma Toscana Cabernet DOC is the ideal companion for convivial meals and exceptional evenings. I warmly recommend it with grilled or sauced red meats, where its structure and fruity aromas will work wonders. It will also enhance game, bringing a touch of elegance to more robust dishes. And don't forget aged cheeses, with which it will create a perfect pairing, revealing new facets of its flavors. It is a wine to be enjoyed in good company, to share a moment of pure pleasure and discovery.
