Day 1 — Art Nouveau elegance and stone monsters!
Ciao, it's Tosco! Welcome to my very first travel diary in Tuscany. For this Day 1, I decided to start off gently, and believe me, it was anything but boring! I headed to Montecatini Terme, and there, what a stunner! The Art Nouveau elegance, the neoclassical pools... I almost thought I glimpsed Verdi and Coco Chanel around a column. It's truly a majestic dive into history, an enchanted interlude. The atmosphere is so relaxing, even if I must admit that access can be a bit pricey for a little wild boar like me! But it was worth feeling chic for once!
After that dose of refinement, I needed a bit of... spice! So I jumped into my little car (essential, you'll see!) and dashed off to the Park of the Monsters of Bomarzo. And there, my friends, forget the postcard Tuscany. Here, it's a waking dream, a real wake-up call! I was swept up by these stone giants, I nearly tripped in the leaning house, and the Ogre... oh, the Ogre! He whispered to me "Every thought takes flight". It's a unique experience, totally surreal and off the beaten path. A real contrast with the morning, but what a memorable day!
Going from the Art Nouveau elegance of Montecatini to the giant stone maws of Bomarzo is the perfect split between thermal relaxation and pure Renaissance madness! Be sure not to miss the *Leaning House* in the Park of the Monsters to test your balance.
