From Puntone di Scarlino, this sailboat gives you time to enjoy the Maremma coast and plot an itinerary towards the Tuscan islands. I recommend it to crews who want to sail independently, share life on board and choose their stopovers as the sea takes them.
Launched in 2022, the Dufour 470 measures 14.85 metres and accommodates up to 10 passengers, with 10 berths spread over 5 cabins. Its engine delivers 60 hp. The rental is offered without a skipper: you must therefore hold the required boating licence and be comfortable handling a sailboat of this size. This is not a crewed formula for discovering sailing without experience.
On board, several pieces of equipment make days at sea and moments at anchor easier: autopilot, GPS, VHF, electric windlass and fully battened mainsail for navigation; dinghy with outboard and paddleboard to enjoy the waters around the boat. The sun awning, spray hood, outdoor table, outdoor shower and swim platform make breaks more pleasant. You will also find a watermaker, hot water, a refrigerator, Wi-Fi and USB sockets. The teak deck and bow thruster complete the list of listed equipment.
The departure port is indicated at Puntone di Scarlino, in the Marina di Scarlino area. The island of Elba is announced as 22 km from Marina di Scarlino; Giglio is also among the possible destinations. Depending on your itinerary, your experience and the conditions at sea, you can also consider sailing along the coast towards Talamone or the Argentario, or plan stopovers near Cala Violina. These places are not included stopovers: it is up to you to build your route and check its feasibility.
