From Punta Ala, this 16.9-metre sailing yacht gives you time to discover the Maremma coast at the pace of the sea. I recommend it for a day trip as well as for a longer cruise: the itineraries can be adapted to the length of the rental and to your wishes.

A spacious and well-equipped sailing yacht

The Grand Soleil 56 by Cantiere del Pardo dates from 2008. It accommodates up to 11 passengers, with three cabins and eight berths: the capacity underway therefore does not correspond to the number of sleeping places. Its engine develops 100 horsepower. On board, you will find in particular a teak deck, an outdoor table, a sun awning, cushions, a swim platform and a boarding ladder. The dinghy and its outboard make it possible to reach the shore or approach a cove at anchor.

The comfort is designed for stays at sea: air conditioning, heating, hot water, outdoor shower, electric toilet, bedding and towels are among the equipment. The watermaker produces 220 litres of water per hour; the boat also has four refrigerators and a 9 kW generator, replaced in 2019. For sailing, the four electric winches make manoeuvring easier. The furling mainsail and its new boom were installed in 2024; the Raymarine electronics were upgraded in 2023-2024.

A day at sea from Punta Ala

Sailing along the coast, you can consider a swim near Cala Violina or a passage towards Talamone and the Argentario promontory. The islands of Giglio and Giannutri offer other options for a cruise, depending on the time available and the conditions. The Maremma park also provides a landmark for imagining a coastal itinerary. These destinations are not guaranteed in the rental: it is better to define the route with the owner before departure.

The rental is done without a skipper and a boating license is required: you must therefore be comfortable at the helm and in preparing a sailing trip. The indicated rate starts at €700 per day. To enjoy anchoring and the long days, I advise you to book early in season and to check availability as well as the practical details before choosing your dates.
