Where are the Vie Cave located in Sovana?

The Vie Cave of Sovana are located in the Etruscan necropolis, west of the village, on the SP 22 towards San Martino sul Fiora. From the center of Sovana, allow about 1 km as far as the parking lot and the entrance to the archaeological area; the simplest thing is therefore to go there by car, then continue on foot along the marked trails.

In the first section of the necropolis, you will find the Cavone and the Via Cava di Poggio Prisca, near the tombs of Poggio Felceto and Poggio Stanziale. A little further on, the second section leads to the Via Cava of San Sebastiano, near the Tomb of the Siren. These passageways are spread throughout the archaeological park, not in the village's narrow streets: plan for a walk on sometimes uneven paths and wear suitable shoes.
