Where are the hot springs in Saturnia, Italy?

The Saturnia hot springs are located at the Cascate del Mulino, near the hamlet of Saturnia, in the municipality of Manciano, in the province of Grosseto, in southern Tuscany. The natural pools are at the edge of the provincial road SP10, about 2 km from the village of Saturnia, on the route between Saturnia and Montemerano. In your GPS, search for "Cascate del Mulino" or "Cascate del Gorello".

Access to the waterfalls is free and the site is accessible at all hours. The thermal water, around 37.5 °C, flows into travertine pools near an old mill. There is a parking lot nearby, but it can be very busy: plan to walk a bit to the pools and, if possible, arrive early or outside peak hours. The rocks are slippery and the sulfur smell is quite noticeable. Do not confuse it with the Terme di Saturnia spa park, located further up along the course of the spring: it is a paid establishment with developed facilities.

The charm of Saturnia lies precisely in its raw side: you come for a landscape sculpted by water, not for a perfectly smooth and silent escape.
