Where are the Cascate del Gorello located?

The Cascate del Gorello are located in the Tuscan Maremma, in the municipality of Manciano, near the village of Saturnia, in the province of Grosseto. They are about 2 km from the centre of Saturnia, along the provincial road SP10, between Saturnia and Montemerano. On signs or maps, you can also find them under the name of Cascate del Mulino : it's the same place.

You can reach them by car by following the signs for Saturnia, then those for the waterfalls or the thermal baths. They are in the middle of the countryside, not in the village itself. The site corresponds to the natural terraced pools formed by the thermal water of the Gorello stream, near an old mill. If you are planning a stop in the south of the Maremma, the waterfalls should be distinguished from the beaches of the coast, for example those of Capalbio and the Lake Burano, which are located in another area.

If you are hesitating between a day by the sea and a stop here, don't put them in the same basket: the contrast with Capalbio and Lake Burano adds depth to the itinerary.
