What is Gustatus in Orbetello?

Gustatus is a food and wine festival that brings the historic center ofOrbetello to life around Maremma products, between lagoon cuisine and inland traditions. It is not a dish nor a restaurant: you will find stalls, tastings and culinary demonstrations, along with entertainment and music. The edition announced for this year will take place from October 29 to November 1, 2026, over the All Saints' weekend.

As for the food, expect in particular local specialties such as Orbetello bottarga, as well as products from regional producers: wine, olive oil, cheeses, cured meats and honey. Some tastings or activities may be paid; I would not count on a single price for the whole festival, as consumption is based on the stalls and the packages offered. The town center is about 4 km from the Orbetello-Monte Argentario train station ; you can reach the center on foot or by bike, but check the transport information and the detailed program before setting off, as they may change. It is above all a good opportunity to taste several specialties in one place, in a local festive atmosphere, rather than a formal gastronomic experience.
