Which stations are served by the regional train between Rome and Capalbio?

From Roma Termini, the regional train to Capalbio may serve, depending on the departure, Roma Ostiense, Roma Trastevere, Roma San Pietro, Roma Aurelia, Maccarese-Fregene, Ladispoli-Cerveteri, Marina di Cerveteri, Santa Severa, Santa Marinella, Civitavecchia, Tarquinia and Montalto di Castro before arriving at Capalbio. Not all trains stop at all these stations: check the stops of your chosen train when booking. The direct journey generally takes around two hours, with variations depending on the service.

Watch the name: the station is located in Capalbio Scalo, not in the historic centre. The village is about 8 to 10 km from the station; you will need to plan for a local bus or a taxi, and the buses do not necessarily match every train arrival. If you are staying in the village, organise this last leg in advance rather than relying on an immediate connection. You will find other practical pointers on Capalbio and its surroundings.

This journey offers a lovely change of scenery: Rome fades away and the coast takes over. Keep your eyes on the window, rather than turning the trip into a race against the clock!
