Reviews on Cala Violina are mostly positive for its clear water, fine sand and natural setting, but many find the beach crowded in midsummer and the access less easy than they imagined. It is located in the reserve of Bandite di Scarlino, between Follonica and Punta Ala: you cannot drive right up to the water. From the parking lot of Val Martina, allow about 1.5 km on foot, sur un sentier en partie ombragé ; prévois des chaussures fermées, car le chemin peut être irrégulier.
The recurring feedback is that the scenery is worth the walk if you are looking for a natural beach, but that the place does not always live up to its reputation for calm, especially in August. There is little shade on the sand and no trash bins: bring water, sun protection and a bag for your waste. For the summer season 2026, access from the June 1st to September 30th was limited to 700 people per day, with reservation and a fee of 1 € ; the Val Martina car park cost 10 € per day. Hors saison, vérifie les conditions avant de partir : elles peuvent différer. En bref, les avis sont bons si tu acceptes la marche et le cadre simple ; moins enthousiastes si tu veux des services sur la plage ou beaucoup de tranquillité.
