Where to find authentic cuisine in Manciano?

To taste Maremma cuisine at Manciano itself, start with the Trattoria Da Paolino, in the historic centre, Via Marsala 41. The house offers regional dishes on its menu such as pappardelle with wild boar, with a menu that changes with the seasons. It serves lunch from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm and dinner from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, from Tuesday to Sunday; it is closed on Mondays. Book, especially on weekends and during the holidays: opening hours may change, so check before you go.

Another address in the village: the Trattoria Il Rifugio, Via Trieste 9. You will find in particular homemade pasta, tortelli and game dishes such as wild boar cacciatore; the restaurant also indicates that it offers gluten-free options, to be confirmed for the dish you are interested in. It closes on Tuesdays. If you have a car, Montemerano is about 4.4 km away : la Vecchia Osteria Cacio e Vino and advertises Tuscan cuisine and pairings with local wines. I cannot give you a reliable bill without an up-to-date menu: ask for prices and daily specials when booking.

The real dilemma is almost 'do I stay in the village or do I go on to Montemerano?': choose according to your desire for a stroll, then let the daily specials settle the plates.
