Where is Saturnia located in Italy?

Saturnia is located in southern Tuscany, in Maremma, in the province of Grosseto : it is a hamlet belonging to the municipality of Manciano, in the hinterland, far from big cities and the immediate coastline. It is about 10 minutes by car from Manciano.

Don't confuse it with a coastal town: Saturnia is surrounded by hills and countryside. The Cascate del Mulino, the natural pools often associated with its name, are located a few kilometers from the village. The car is the easiest way to reach the area and get around the surroundings; public transport is not very convenient for visiting the rural sites nearby.

To get your bearings, Saturnia is in the southern part of Tuscany, inland, south of Grosseto. The villages of Montemerano, Pitigliano and Sovana can also be visited in this area. If you are planning an itinerary, allow for trips on secondary roads: distances may seem modest on the map, but travel takes longer than on the highway.

I would save it for a day at a wild boar's pace: trying to cram everything in at a running pace is the best way to miss the charm of the small roads.
