How to avoid the crowds at the Saturnia thermal waterfalls?

To limit the crowds at the Cascate del Mulino, come on weekdays, at dawn, and avoid weekends as well as the June to September period: those are the busiest times. Outside of summer, you'll generally have a better chance of finding some peace and quiet, but no one can guarantee you the pools all to yourself, especially in fine weather. Access to the natural site is free and possible at any time.

Arriving early also helps avoid parking pressure, but check the signs on site: the nearby parking lot is indicated as unsupervised, and its conditions or fees may vary. I advise against counting on a night swim to have the place to yourself: there is no lighting, and the limestone rocks can be slippery. If you can only come during the day, choose a weekday outside school holidays and leave if the pools are already too crowded; the waterfall is beautiful, but it is not a secret.

The postcard-perfect turquoise pools make you dream, but when it looks like a public swimming pool, the magic takes a bit of a hit: better not to obsess over the perfect photo.
