Plan 18. 2 to 3 hours to visit Santa Fiora leisurely: it's enough to explore the historic center, see the main monuments and take a detour to the Peschiera. The village is spread over a slope and its narrow streets are best explored on foot; allow a bit more time if you prefer to wander or stop at a café terrace.
For a classic visit, allow about 2 km of walking passing by the piazza Garibaldi, the collegiate church of the Santi Flora e Lucilla and the church of the Madonna delle Nevi, near the Peschiera. The opening hours of the churches and places to visit may limit what you'll see inside, especially off-season: it's better to check on the day itself if it matters to you. With the Mercury Mines Museum and a lunch break, plan on half a day instead. A full day is mainly justified if you add a hike in the surrounding area; the waters trail around Santa Fiora is about 10 km, so it's no longer just a simple visit to the village.
