How do you access the Vie Cave from the center of Pitigliano?

From the center of Pitigliano, tu peux rejoindre les Vie Cave à pied : le circuit balisé part de la Garibaldi square. Go down the stairs of the Selciatanear Petruccioli square, then follow the path around the old town until the Cammino del Londini and Via Cava dell'Annunziata.

To see several passages in a single outing, continue towards the Vie Cave of San Giuseppe, de Fratenuti and the Madonna delle Grazie, then go back up via Poggio Cani up to the gate of Sovana and the center. The loop is about 10 km and takes nearly 3 hours of walkingwithout counting the breaks. The terrain is uneven, with sections on road and, depending on the route, a passage near a watercourse: wear shoes with good grip and check the condition of the trail after heavy rain. If you only want to discover one Via Cava, you can also join separately the one of San Giuseppe, to the south-east of the village, but access from the center is less direct than following the complete circuit.
