Comment on noteOur opinion
From the port of Talamone, this rigid inflatable boat lets you set out to sea on your own and cruise along one of the wildest stretches of the Tuscan coast. I would recommend it to a crew that holds a boating license and wants to organize its day between swims, coves and sailing in the gulf.
The Marlin 23 Top dates from 2007 and measures 7.5 meters. Its 225 hp engine offers plenty to sail along the coast, while its stated capacity is eight passengers. On board, you will find a sun canopy, an outdoor shower as well as sunbathing areas at the bow and stern. The listing also mentions an electric windlass. The rental is without a skipper: a boating license is mandatory and you must be comfortable taking the helm. The listed rate starts at €400 per day; fuel is not included. Renters rate it 4.72/5 based on three reviews.
Setting off from Talamone, you can explore the gulf and cruise along the Maremma Natural Park, also called the Uccellina park. Some coves are only accessible by sea: plan your route and your stops according to the conditions of the day. The Argentario, very close at the scale of this coast, also opens up beautiful possibilities for bays and anchorages. Giglio and Giannutri are other horizons worth considering, but a trip to the islands requires carefully assessing the weather, the distance and your sailing experience. Always check local conditions before setting your itinerary.
This boat will suit above all a self-sufficient group, able to share out the space and follow the navigation rules. I recommend choosing a day with favorable weather and confirming the times as well as the price corresponding to your dates: departure takes place between 8:30 am and 10:30 am, with a return no later than 6 pm. Since fuel remains your responsibility, factor it into your budget. If this getaway tempts you, it is best to check the availability of your desired period in advance.
