Comment on noteOur opinion
Departing from Talamone, this nearly ten-metre rigid inflatable opens up a lovely day of sailing along the southern Tuscan coast. I recommend it if you want to share the sea with a group, stop off in a cove or set course for the Argentario, depending on conditions and the chosen programme.
The Magazzu M11 COUPE dates from 2005 and measures 9.9 metres. It can accommodate up to 10 passengers; its 640 horsepower suit a day when you want to explore several stretches of the coastline. On board, the fore and aft sunbathing areas invite you to enjoy the breaks, while the bimini provides a shaded space. You also have an outdoor table, a shower, a ladder and a swimming platform for swim stops. The teak deck, outdoor speakers and electric toilet complete the equipment. To prepare for navigation, the boat has a GPS, a depth sounder and an electric windlass. The rental is offered by the day, from €1,200; fuel is not included and is added according to consumption.
From Talamone, you can cruise along the Maremma coast and consider a trip to the Argentario promontory, its coves and the islands close to the shore, Giglio or Giannutri. These are route suggestions, not guaranteed stops: the itinerary will depend on the weather, the time available and the organisation of your outing. The listing indicates a skippered option, while also mentioning rental without a skipper. A boating licence is required to sail on your own; so confirm the chosen option and the terms before booking.
This model will suit above all a group that wants to alternate sailing, swimming and time on board, with enough space for ten passengers. I advise you to book in advance for the fine summer days and to check the fuel cost as well as the planned itinerary. If you prefer to enjoy the sea without taking the helm, ask for a skippered outing; if you hold the required licence, clarify the conditions of a self-drive rental. Talamone is a pleasant starting point to chart a day at your own pace, without trying to see everything in one go.
