Comment on noteOur opinion
Departing from Puntone di Scarlino, the Hanse 458 lets you organize a sailing getaway along the Maremma or set course for the Tuscan islands. I recommend it if you want to share the sailing as a crew and choose your own pace, between short hops and more ambitious days. The rental is without a skipper: you must therefore hold the required boating license and be able to handle the sailboat.
Launched in 2020, this Hanse sailboat measures 14.04 meters and can accommodate up to 10 passengers. It has four cabins and eight berths: the sailing capacity is therefore higher than the number of sleeping places, a point to consider when putting together your crew. The engine develops 57 hp. On board, the listed equipment notably includes an autopilot, a GPS, a VHF and a bow thruster. For life at anchor, you will find a dinghy with its outboard motor, a paddleboard, a swim platform, an outdoor shower, a table outside and a sun awning. The watermaker, refrigerator, hot water and Wi-Fi complete the listed equipment. The recorded rate starts at €443 per day; the displayed rating is 4.72/5, based on three reviews.
From the marina, you can consider sailing to the island of Elba, about 22 kilometers away, or to Giglio, depending on the weather, your experience and the length of your trip. The Maremma coast also offers stopover options near Talamone and the Maremma park; Cala Violina is a nearby coastal landmark, but access and anchoring should be planned according to local conditions. The Argentario and Giannutri can be part of a longer itinerary, to be planned carefully rather than treated as a guaranteed stop. The rental indicated is self-crewed, with no skipper provided, and a boating license is required.
This Hanse will suit above all a crew that knows how to organize itself on board and wants to keep the freedom of its itinerary. To make the most of the longer days, I advise you to book early in season and check the sailing conditions before setting your stops. If you are unsure about the duration or the route, plan a first simple outing before aiming for the islands.
